This week, two members of the L3 OceanServer team attended the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. There were approximately 24,000 science based attendees at the event in Washington, D.C..
L3 OceanServer presented a posted focused on using an Iver3 AUV to rapidly acquire and process a cadre of spatial data along 3 reef systems in 2 days. The data acquisition included dual-frequency side-scan sonar, interferometric bathymetry, and photogrammetry with 3D reconstructed mosaics. This data, individually and collectively, are being used to study complex reef systems in an effort to improve and efficiently manage restoration efforts, track invasive fish species and better understand impacts to reef networks due to changes in water-quality, climate change, and other changing environmental conditions.
